Introduction
From the beginning, our goal was to design a collection of mobile workstations that could appear when needed and disappear when the workday was over. We wanted to create furniture that adapts to people, not the other way around. Every model in the collection is compact, mobile, and multifunctional, allowing users to transform virtually any space into a productive work environment in seconds. The concept combines mobility, storage, integrated power solutions, and intuitive folding mechanisms. When closed, movo becomes an elegant piece of furniture that blends naturally into the interior. When opened, it reveals a fully functional workstation designed around the needs of modern professionals.

The dual-worktop configuration was a breakthrough. By designing two surfaces that fold out from either side of the central unit, The Performer enables face-to-face collaboration from what appears to be a single piece of furniture. A couple working from home, a parent helping a child with homework, or two colleagues in a shared office, the use cases are endless. A significant milestone for the project came when Performer was selected as a finalist for the Design Europa Awards 2023, organized by the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Among them, Performer holds a special place. I often describe it as a Swiss Army knife for work. Every foldable surface has a purpose. Within a compact volume only 81 centimeters high, it integrates a desk, storage compartments, filing space, cable management, and electrical connectivity. One of its most interesting features is its ability to accommodate two users simultaneously, making it particularly relevant for contemporary home environments where flexibility is essential. The design language balances precision and warmth. The external metal frame provides structure and durability, while rounded corners soften the form and improve usability. Inside, natural wood finishes introduce a sense of comfort and character, helping the workstation feel at home in both residential and professional settings. As designers, we often talk about solving problems. With MOVO, we sought to solve one of the defining challenges of modern life: creating meaningful workspaces that fit naturally into the way we live today. The result is not simply a collection of desks, but a system designed to support a more flexible, balanced, and human-centered future of work.
